Tornado and Damaging Wind Forecast for the Rest of the Day

There is a high risk of strong tornadoes in the red and an enhanced risk in the yellow. The brown area has a significant risk.

There is a high risk of wind gusts above 75 mph in the purple area with an enhanced risk in the red area.
The yellow area has a significant risk of wind gusts of 60 mph.

The line of thunderstorms that has been moving across the South has caused both damaging tornadoes (including the City of Slidell, MS) and extensive power outages. We are close to 700,000 people (the map reports "customers" -- homes and businesses) without power.
Please take these storms seriously!
