Heads Up: South and Central Texas

We now have to turn our attention to the Gulf of Mexico.

It looks likely that a tropical storm will move into South Texas. It will bring needed rainfall and strong winds.

The Hurricane Center's forecast calls for a 45 mph tropical storm moving ashore tomorrow morning.

Important Note:
Some have suggested there will be a high wildfire danger in central Texas tomorrow afternoon.
Given the severe drought conditions, the incipient tropical storm will cause strong east winds outside of its rain pattern.
