Blizzard Northern Plains; Growing Thunderstorms South

You can see the snow falling on the AccuWeather winterized regional radar. Right now, it is 25° with winds gusting to 42 mph at Phillip, SD. The visibility is 1/4 mi. with heavy falling snow and blowing snow. Travel is difficult with the snow band in the northern Plains. Addition at 4:55pm. Thunder + sleet reported at Winner, SD. At 4:35pm CDT, thunderstorms continued to intensify over southern Nebraska and northern Kansas where a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect.
