It's That Time of Year Again: WKRP's "Turkey's Away"
One of the the best programs in television history was WKRP in Cincinnati which ran from 1978 to 1982. And, its all-time classic episode was "Turkey's Away" about a Thanksgiving promotion gone terribly wrong.
I agree that this one is the best, but the second greatest "WKRP" episode ever has to be "Tornado," in which Les Nessman, during a tornado warning, pulls out a script intended for use during a nuclear attack by the Russians. The result: he solemnly warns his listeners that they are under attack by "godless tornadoes."
I think this one, and the one with the "phone police" are my two favorites. Thanks for posting, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
