Nor'Easter Versus Sandy: Comparison
From AccuWeather, here are a couple of graphics that compare the two storms.
Keep in mind that coastal flooding, especially in New Jersey, may reach 10' above sea level or higher in some places in a combination of storm surge, tide, and wave effects. The wave effects may be worse than would normally be expected due to the destruction of the protective sand berms.
Rain comparison:
Had Sandy not just occurred, the Nor'easter would be considered a big storm. It will be a hindrance to clean-up and power restoration from Sandy.
