Update on Metroplex Flooding and Flight Delays

Afternoon and evening rainfalls of 3 to 4 inches are common from I-45 in south Dallas and the Fairgrounds north across downtown and into Highland Park.  

There is a second area of very heavy rain from downtown Ft. Worth east through Arlington along and south of I-30.  

There are numerous reports of high water rescues and stalled cars.  

Twenty-four hour rainfall amounts are more than 5" around Rockwall.

There numerous flight cancellations.  Here is a small example of American Airlines' cancellations at the  moment. These are arrivals:

In some cases, passengers will be stranded for more than a day.
