If you look at the ordinary radar display, you would think the two storms in the area west and south have about equal chances of lightning.
However, it isn't just intensity that determines lightning. It is more important to look at how tall the storm is. The southern storm is far more likely to produce lightning than the one near the course. Both are moving almost straight east.
