The severe thunderstorm as of 3:30pm between St. John and Great Bend.

At 3:01pm CDT, satellite imagery shows thunderstorms starting to develop in central Kansas. Large hail and damaging winds are likely with some of these storms. The radar at 3:12pm shows rapid intensification occurring.

I expect a watch to be issued. I'll post if and when that occurs.
