Update 7pm: Heavy Rain and Flooding Forecast for Florida

Yesterday evening, we talked about the heavy rain forecast for Florida. Now, the forecast rainfall amounts have risen to more than seven inches in the West Palm Beach to Miami corridor.

Here is a zoom-in of the forecast amounts in the I-95 corridor from West Palm to Miami.
Moderate to heavy are occurring now, will taper off a bit tonight and then heavy rains are forecasted to restart midday-tomorrow (Wednesday). The National Weather Service is predicting a 40 to 70% chance of significant flash flooding. 

As of 5:28pm, moderate to locally heavy rain is occurring from Boyton Beach south to Hollywood. 

At 6:55pm, a flash flood warning (green) is in effect and heavy rain continues to fall in the same areas. Radar estimates about 5" of rain near Terra Mar.
