Finally, this is the forecast rainfall from 7pm CDT this evening to 7pm Tuesday.
In most areas, much more rain is needed but this certainly helps.

  1. This is one of those cases where what is forecast really better be true. The hopes of thousands of Texans have been raised by the prospect of rare, multi-inch rain in mid-July. The places expected to get the most rain have lakes that no longer have water...and stock tanks that are dry...and cotton in the fields just waiting for moisture. We are praying that this really occurs.

    So far, just light rain, but the NWS sez the heavier amounts will kick in during the overnight hours.
