Mississippi River Update

The river is about at crest at Caruthersville, MO.

Downstream at Osceola, the river is within a foot of the forecast crest which is expected Monday:

Memphis is the next gaging station where the river is predicted to come close to the all-time record stage of the Great Flood of 1937, and has already passed the level of the other great flood in 1927:

There are mandatory evacuations in Memphis. Rail and barge shipping are shut down in the area.
