Wind Power Sinks in Texas

The green line is the amount of wind power currently being produced in Texas. Up until now, wind has held up pretty well. However, winds have lessened considerably today, thus little wind power is being produced. The latest about is just 4% of advertised.

In Austin alone, the ice storm has caused 160,000 homes and businesses to be without power, primarily due to downed trees downing power lines. That equates to more than 300,000 people. Statewide, the number is about 750,000.
