Another Another Radar Dies With Severe Thunderstorms in the Forecast

In the post immediately below, you will find that the Wichita area is in the severe thunderstorm forecast for wind gusts that exceed 75 mph. And, perhaps more predictable than the weather, the National Weather Service's radar has gone down.

Yesterday afternoon, it was Louisville's radar while in a tornado watch. 

Pre-dawn yesterday, the Kansas City Terminal Doppler weather radar was down and the NWS's radar was on the wrong scan strategy for a tornado warning situation.

This is becoming endemic.
