Damaging Wind Forecast
Damaging winds are defined as gusts of 60 mph or stronger. Where you see hatching, the forecast gusts are 75 mph or stronger. Red has an enhanced risk of those gusts occurring while yellow has a significant risk. Much of the hatched area has a significant risk of hail larger than two inches in diameter.
