Tom Fuller has yet another excellent post on a topic of great importance: The morality of the global warming issue. I have long believed it is the height of moral arrogance for well-off people living comfortable lives to tell the world's poor they cannot improve their standard of living because of 'global warming,' especially when we don't know whether global warming is a significant problem.
Tom adds another important contribution to this contention.
Yes, let them build coal plants. Letting people suffer now to solve what might be a non-problem fifty years from now is wrong in any moral calculus.
