Wheat Belt Rainfall

Since things are relatively quiet, I want to bring everyone up to date on moisture in the drought-stricken wheat belt. Here is the rainfall since February 1.

And, here is the rainfall since January 1.

While the drought has been whittled away on its east and southeast sides, much of the area remains desperately dry.

The seven day rainfall amount forecast is not especially encouraging. Rain will not fall where it is needed and moderate rains will add to the potential for flooding in the Southeast.
