In this posting, I wrote about the TSA people clustered at the west end of Wichita' Mid-Continent Airport. The head of the airport contacted me to let me know they were off-duty. I'm happy to make that clear.
Then that's what Disney calls "bad show". If you know that you have a PR problem already, then take steps to make sure that people don't see your employees in uniform doing things that might reflect poorly on the uniform. That's why cast members at Disney don't wear their outfits outside of the parks (or even outside of the areas they are themed for).
All that said, the best way to fix the problem is to get rid of the TSA. I'm sure there are some honorable people doing that job, but they are vastly outnumbered by those that don't. Add to it that it is simply security theater and it becomes pointless.
It was one of the rare times there was a line at security at midday in Wichita. Having those people standing around smoking creates a huge perception problem, on duty or ff.

Rainfall Note the heavy rains are forecast for Los Angeles County. Serious flash flooding may result. Because the forecast path has shifted to the west, that increases the threat of serious flooding in Los Angeles County north into Yosemite and the southern Sierra.
