Fog Versus Ground Fog

Sometimes, you hear meteorologists talk about "ground fog." We have the latter in Wichita this morning
Photo from KSNW TV 6:57am this morning.
The KSNW TV roof camera clearly shows the ground fog downtown this morning. Generally, ground fog has a shallow depth and clings to the ground, especially now-lying areas.

Out the back door, we have the ground fog at our home. Visibility is about 200 feet.

UPDATE: 27 fog-related car crashes this morning. No serious injuries. I was surprised in the very low visibility how many people were not using their headlights. Please do!
