Major Solar Flare

UPDATE: Tomorrow night (16th) seems to be the more likely night for auroras.

A major solar flare, facing earth, erupted yesterday afternoon. There is a chance of an aurora (northern lights) tonight and tomorrow night as a result, I think.

Astronomy and meteorology are different sciences and I know little about the former. I have emailed some experts about the aurora possibilities and when I hear back I'll let you know.
