Winter Storm Getting Organized

Here is the AccuWeather radar at 10:40am:

Purple is a mix of sleet (ice pellets) and freezing rain. Blue is snow with the darker shades indicating heavier snow.

The National Weather Service has upgraded its winter weather advisories to winter storm warnings (pink) in a number of areas:

Please also note the shades of green in the Ohio Valley. Those are various flood watches. The deep red counties are under flash flood warnings. We have been watching the Ohio Valley for several days and our forecasts of excessive rainfall appear to be correct.
