These Airports Do NOT Have TSA Screening
With the airport screening situation getting worse by the day, here is a list of airports that have private sector -- rather than TSA -- screening.
- Atlantic City International Airport (New Jersey)
- Charles M. Schulz—Sonoma County Airport (California)
- Dawson Community Airport (Montana)
- Great Falls International Airport (Montana)
- Glacier Park International Airport (Montana)
- Greater Rochester International Airport (New York)
- Havre City-County Airport (Montana)
- Kansas City International Airport (Missouri)
- L. M. Clayton Airport (Montana)
- Orlando Sanford International Airport (Florida)
- Portsmouth International Airport (New Hampshire)
- Punta Gorda Airport (Florida)
- Roswell International Air Center (New Mexico)
- San Francisco International Airport (California)
- Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (Florida)
- Sidney-Richland Municipal Airport (Montana)
- Sioux Falls Regional Airport (South Dakota)
- Tupelo Regional Airport (Mississippi)
- Wokal Field/Glasgow International Airport (Montana)
- Yellowstone Airport (Montana)
With a little creativity, you may be able to avoid the worst of the mess. For example, fly into Orlando-Sanford rather than Orlando International. Or, fly into Kansas City rather than Omaha or Des Moines and rent a car or Uber the rest of the way.
With San Francisco not experiencing delays, fly there rather than Oakland or San Jose.
If it were me, I'd be looking at driving or a fly/drive -- if possible -- rather than spending 3+ hours each way in a security line.
Good luck!
