...that, for those of us who do not have pay cable, you still see the 30-year old Twister on TV all of the time (it was on national TV Saturday afternoon) but never see 2024's Twisters?
More heavy rain (snow in the mountains) forecast. Rains have already begun over the southern two-thirds of the state. See 3:15pm radar below. In addition, there is small risk of a tornado, especially tomorrow morning, in coastal areas of Southern California, shown in dark green.
As much as 6 inches of precipitation (rain + the moisture content of snow) is forecast in the Sierra of California) during the next five days. Given the rain they've already had the past 30 days, it equates to an early start to the California rainy season.
The tornado forecast is unchanged from yesterday. The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes and the hatching indicates they could be strong. During the next three days, more than five inches of rain is forecast to fall in Iowa (orange). The result is a serious flood risk over Iowa and into northwest Missouri in the dark blue. In the pale blue, there is a lesser flood risk.
I have DISH and have not seen it anywhere outside of the pay per views. Twister is constantly played on several channels. It is odd.
