Update (5:40p) on Blizzard and Tornado/Severe Thunderstorm Forecast

Here is the current NWS watch/warning map with the color key:
Orange = blizzard warning.  Note: I expect the blizzard warning to be expanded. 
Pink = winter storm warning 
Bright green = flood warning 
Gold = high wind warning 
Magenta = "Red Flag Warning" (high wildfire danger forecast)
Burnt orange = extreme heat warning 
Brown = high wind watch 
Purple = winter weather advisory 
Sand = wind advisory 

Incredible amounts of snow are forecast in the Great Lakes Region accompanied by wind gusts up to 60 mph! Power outages will result and some areas will be cut-off from the rest of the world for days or even a week.

In addition, there is a serious risk of damaging thunderstorm winds and accompanying tornadoes. 

Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Forecast
The red and, especially, the purple areas have a serious risk of tornadoes or damaging winds. Power outages are quite possible Sunday and Sunday night. This threat will move to the East Coast Monday.
