The Hottest Summers in U.S. History Were 90 Years Ago

With summer coming up, From Dr. Roger Pielke, Jr. along with Ken Kunkle and the late Stan Changnon, here is a graph of NOAA's "Heat Wave Index:"
By far, the hottest summers were during the 1930's. Just as the worst flood was 1927, the worst tornado was 1925 and the worst hurricane was in 1935. The weather during the 2000's, so far, is relatively mild.
