When I wrote it, I was unaware the new Michael Moore environmental movie was being released today. Never, ever, ever, did I think I would agree with Michael Moore on something. With this movie, we are in complete agreement: Green energy is "playing pretend" -- it isn't solving anything and, most of the time, it is making environmental problems worse. Most everything people believe about the environment and the 'solutions' to global warming is completely wrong. It is simply astounding how often the 'experts' in environmental issues ( like Dr. Paul Krugman) are wrong almost all of the time on almost all environmental issues . Krugman, in 2006, told us (above) that prices were only going to rise because the world was starting to run out of oil ("peak oil"). Here is a closeup of his graph: Oil peaked at around $100/bbl in 2006. Due to inflation, that $100 is now $128 per barrel. Instead of the price of a barrel of oil rising -- as Dr. Krugman predicted -- the world is awash in oil. So much so, there is no place to store it. Yesterday, the West Texas Intermediate futures contract closed at a negative value for the first time, ever, at -$13.10. If you would take a barrel of oil off their hands, they would pay you  $13.10! By contrast, you would have to pay $70.40 for a barrel of water (in the form of Aquafina). Yet again, Big Environment (and Dr. Krugman is a charter member) couldn't be more wrong. Speaking of st...

While not as bad as the tornado outbreak on Easter, there were still a number of serious tornadoes yesterday and yesterday night. The worst were in southern Mississippi where there is one reported fatality. In a couple of days, after surveys are complete, there will be many more tornadoes confirmed.

The SPC forecast shows a narrow band of very high probabilities (red) of strong tornadoes (hatched)  that stretches from the Sabine River into eastern Georgia. The enhanced probabilities, again for strong tornadoes, extendes into southern South Carolina. The brown is a significant risk of tornadoes and those would occur tonight into northeast South Carolina and southeast North Carolina. As of this writing, 8:55a Sunday, there is already a tornado watch. It includes Houston and Shreveport as well as mch of east Texas and west Louisiana. And, severe thunderstorm warnings are out in east Texas. I urge you throughout this region to monitor the weather throughout the entire day.
