Storm Update. Blizzard Warning: Chicago

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Chicagoland (orange). This is in additional to a vast area of winter storm warnings (pink).  {more shortly!}

Here is the AccuWeather Regional Radar at 9:15am CST. This is a huge storm in geographic extent. Conditions are especially dangerous from around Chicago to just west of Cleveland and into southern Lower Michigan due to heavy snow and drifting snow.

Here are the snowfall forecasts from AccuWeather:

Because of the increase in forecast wind speeds since yesterday, there is a chance of isolated power outages in the orange-coloraded areas which include coastal Long Island due to freezing rain. Driving will be hazardous due to freezing rain in the yellow areas.
Needless to say, many flights have been cancelled at O'Hare and Midway and other airports in the region.
