Typhoon Halyan Moving into Phillippines

This blog is about U.S. weather but I want to make an exception: Halyan is a super-Typhoon with sustained winds in the 175 range and gusts estimated at 220-230 mph. This will cause catastrophic damage in the Phillippines (yellow outlines) over the next 24 hours or so.
