Updated Severe Weather Threat

A strong line of thunderstorms is now developing in the High Plains requiring some revision in the overnight severe weather outlook:

Tornado risk, 5% significant.

Damaging thunderstorm winds. Fifteen percent is significant and the hatched area is where wind gusts are forecast to exceed 75 mph!

And, hail, with 15% the threshold for 1" and hatched for larger than two inches.

Radar at 8:26pm CDT shows storms rapidly developing in the High Plains. A red polygon is a tornado warning, yellow = severe thunderstorm warnings.

I will not be live-blogging these storms.
