Pattern Change for the Winter Olympics

Looks like moisture will be increasing in British Columbia just in time for the Olympics.  Here is the precipitation amount forecast from the NWS for the next 5 days.  That's 4 to 5 inches for Vancouver.

    Will it be rain or snow?? They have gotten plenty of Moisture I think in Vancouver, but it has been rain. It has been melting the Snow Base on Cyprus Mountain.

    The snow level is expected to drop this evening and they will get to 2 feet of snow.

Monday Tornado and Flood Forecast

The tornado forecast is unchanged from yesterday. The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes and the hatching indicates they could be strong.  During the next three days, more than five inches of rain is forecast to fall in Iowa (orange).  The result is a serious flood risk over Iowa and into northwest Missouri in the dark blue. In the pale blue, there is a lesser flood risk.
