Why Ice Storm Warnings are So Critical

Portland Tribune
People often underestimate the importance of ice storm and blizzard warnings -- both of which we've had the past ten days.

Yesterday, we posted the map below which included an ice storm warning for Portland.

The photo below and story of a family being killed by a power line was posted by The Daily Mail

In addition, there are nearly 150,000 people without power in Oregon with Portland residents shivering with temperatures in the upper 20's and low 30's.

Please take our warnings seriously and remember whenever you see a power line down, assume it is live and stay well away from it. Immediately call 9-1-1.
