Goodbye Milton!

Milton is out in the Atlantic. About ten million people are without power.

I'm sure Samaritan's Purse or the Salvation Army would greatly appreciate your donation!

  1. Honesg question…where are you seeing 10 million without power due to Milton.
Asking as that number would be nearly half of Florida's population, and seeing estimates thus far of ⅓ your number.
    Thanks.

    1. Electric companies and resources like poweroutage.us report the number of "customers" without power. One customer = 1 electric meter and it doesn't matter whether that electric meter is at a business with 100 people inside or an apartment with a single dweller.

So, the electric industry says to "multiply by 3 or 4" to get the number of people. I use the more conservative 3 as the multiplier.
