Below are the areas of critical wildfire risk for Tuesday and Tuesday night. 

This is part of a weather system that is going to high winds over the western half of the nation. 

Here are the color codes:

• Puce = severe thunderstorm watch (this evening).
• Browns = high wind watches or warnings.
• Magenta = extreme fire danger warnings (a/k/a "red flag warnings")
• Blues = freeze advisories 
• Orange = heat advisory (California)
