It has gotten so weak that even the New York Times   recently had to acknowledge the fact. The currently in-progress COP meeting in Egypt -- with delegates flying in on 400+ private jets and its gourmet meals (while telling us to eat bugs) -- is nothing but a junket and  virtue-signaling... paid for by you and me through our taxes. It is tragic America's elites have lost their faith and that communal prayer was not done this Christmas.

From New Scientist : I wish to assist the author, Graham Lawton, with some basics of Christianity since he does not seem to be familiar with the faith. We believe that God created the universe and each of us. It is our job to conform to God's will and Commandments. Jesus tells us He welcomes respectful petitions but they should be in the form of prayer. I'm a bit put off by his comment, "it would be better if He was on our side." That is exactly backward: we are to be on God's side. Catholics believe, of course, that Jesus led a sinless life. Catholics also believe that his earthly mother, Mary, also lead a sinless life. Yesterday at the Mass for the Immaculate Conception, Fr. Josh Evans commented on the above by saying, "Can you imagine poor Joseph? Everything was always his fault!"

These are extremely unfortunate.  *They were put up by a street artist.  Note: this is revised from the original posting as of 8pm Friday. The Sanitation Department is now taking them down. Mayor de Blasio has not condemned them. I have travelled to NYC for business and pleasure and have always enjoyed myself. We took our children for Christmas 2001 after Mayor Giuliani requested people to "stay in a [NYC] hotel, go out to dinner and see a show" to help its economy after the horror of September 11. Apparently, the government of NYC has forgotten those acts of goodwill of ours and so many others' . See above. However, it speaks volumes that the mayor has not condemned them.
