Guess he's made all he can from global warming. 

Obviously, Al stomped onto his private jet and is going away mad. Some of us wish he would just go away! Now that Al is comfortably ensconced in one of his mansions, the rest of us can get to work on nuclear, next-generation nuclear, hydro and other innovative ways to generate electricity and, you know, solve the CO2 issue. 

Per Wikipedia, the Al Gore Effect is: The Al Gore Effect refers to a perceived connection between occurrences of unseasonably cold weather and some events associated with global warming activism, particularly those attended by former Vice President of the United States Al Gore. Meteorologist Dr. Ryan Maue posted the item below on Twitter this morning: Tragic 🙄. One less CO2-spewing private jet for the graft-fest in Dubai -- which is literally  considering travel restrictions for the rest of us . To, err, save the planet, of course. 

The "Al Gore Effect" Has Its Own Entry at Wikipedia: Run-on sentence or no, Al hasn't 't been in the news as much these days. So, I propose we rename it the "Jacinda Ardern Effect." The story is here . Ardern often reaches Gore's level of zealotry -- but perhaps not his level of wealth -- when it comes to global warming.

The private jet crowd is finally getting called out for all of the misery it is causing. These are not well-intended but misguided people. The Bill Gates-Al Gore-John Kerry-Prince Harry crowd seem to enjoy making life miserable for the rest of us while they increase their wealth and influence with 'solutions' that will only make things worse.  There are a couple of good articles on this topic here and here .  Unless your congressional candidates this fall are talking about nuclear and, where possible, hydro power, they are not serious about fixing our greenhouse gas problems. Windmills and solar, while useful for certain specific tasks, are not what we need to level off the rate of carbon increase. 

Sheesh. This is a paper from a scientific journal. It is here , if you have the stomach for it. According to the environmentalists, we should not have pets, we should have fewer children , we should eat less meat , etc., etc., while Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Friedman, etc., etc. live in mansions and run around on private jets. Right. Do we really want to be compelled to live in a world where we are forced to have fewer children, no pets and have to deal with the Diet Police?

I try not to get into personalities on this blog. I make one exception and that for is the wealthy environmentalists who tell ordinary people they need to make sacrifices that they themselves are unwilling to make. These include Al Gore, Laurie David, Michael Moore, and Thomas Friedman who preach you and I have to sacrifice and cut back while they fly around on private jets and/or live ostentatious lifestyles with giant carbon footprints. It is with sadness I add another to this list: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, an actress whose work I enjoy. Should have been called " 24-Hours of Global Warming Apathy ." Seventeen thousand viewers, worldwide ?! Really? After all that promotion? I think we are seeing the end of the hyper-politicized catastrophic global warming movement, which is a very good thing. That will better allow us to focus on what may really be a problem with regard to global warming and other environmental issues.

We are on the eve of "24 Hours of Climate Reality," Al Gore's latest propaganda effort.  It is just too easy to make fun of Al Gore (and I've had lots of fun doing that in the past), so I'm not going to do it in this post.   What I'd like to focus on is the international media's uncritical reporting of Gore's efforts. For all intents and purposes, they simply reprint whatever Gore's organization distributes. Al Gore is at it again. This time, his brand of alarmism is "Climate Reality." It claims the recent tornadoes, floods, droughts, hurricanes, heat, cold, and acne (OK, I made that one up) are due to "global warming." And, guess what: There is yet another (yawn) 'worldwide' 24 hours, all-time zone event scheduled for September 14. What is special about September 14? Nothing, except statistically there is a high probability of a hurricane or tropical storm in the vicinity of the United States.  So, there will be a "convenient" storm (if the odds play out) that Gore can blame on "climate chaos." Of course, when Gore called it 'global warming' they used to have these events in the summer in Washington, D.C. so there would be an excellent chance of hot, humid weather. ...call people names! The latest from Al Gore . Admittedly, the contest over global warming is a challenge for the referee because it's a tag-team match, a real free-for-all. In one corner of the ring are Science and Reason. In the other corner: Poisonous Polluters and Right-wing Ideologues.   If you have the stomach for it, read the entire piece. Then, ask yourself a question: Does he make a single verifiable scientific point? For example, Does he tell us why his predictions of temperature rise have not come true and explained why? No.  Does he tell us why his (actually the IPCC's) predictions of ocean heat content are off by 50% (half of what was predicted), why they were wrong and when, if ever, the rapid rise will occur? This blog has covered -- on numerous occasions -- the hypocrisy of Al Gore. Mr. Gore preaches the gospel  of apocalyptic global warming (" the new global terror ") and advises the rest of us to live spartan lifestyles while he flies around on private jets, has multiple extravagant mansions , and a yacht.
