At 11:10am, radar indicated a growing area of freezing rain -- with lightning and thunder -- in northwest Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. There was a second growing area in Missouri.

This is the main ice storm. Please be prepared.

The tornado forecast is unchanged from yesterday. The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes and the hatching indicates they could be strong.  During the next three days, more than five inches of rain is forecast to fall in Iowa (orange).  The result is a serious flood risk over Iowa and into northwest Missouri in the dark blue. In the pale blue, there is a lesser flood risk.

They've had a close relationship for years.  I especially found Phil's concerns about the middle class important and worthy of serious consideration.
