Cold Wave Update: 11am

The temperature gradient (change in temperature across miles) is amazing this morning. Dr. Ryan Maue's map shows a current temperature of 17°F at Cheyenne, Wyo. (arrow) and temperatures in the
upper 50s about 30 miles away. Denver Metro is in the low 60s and it is 70° at Springfield, Colo., in the southeast corner of the state.
