Wall Street Journal Headline, 2:10P Friday Germany, at one point, was the #1 nation in the world for 'green' energy. Now, they are in a desperate predicament because Russia plans to cut off their supply of natural gas .  So, Germany's choice is to give in to Putin's political demands or -- on a far worse scale than occurred last winter -- watch its citizens freeze to death.  German man sleeping on outdoor bench last winter.  Credit: DW Imagine if Germany had spent all of the money it spent on windmills and solar (in Germany?!) on nuclear and converting its coal plants to natural gas? They would have hugely cut their carbon footprint while becoming energy independent.  Are any politicians in the USA paying attention?

An assessment of the current military situation is here .  It is highly encouraging to me that the West and freedom-loving nations all over the world have clamped tough sanctions on Russia even without a strong American president. I'm pretty confident that Putin did not anticipate that reaction and it is why we need to make sure that Putin has a face-saving way out so that he can declare 'victory,' get out as quickly as possible with as little damage to Ukraine as possible, and let back to normal or, better still, be overthrown in a coup.  There are three winners, maybe: Taiwan. I fully expected China to make a move on Taiwan, maybe very soon. Given the world's reaction to Russia's attack on Taiwan, I think the Chinese will reconsider. If ...

A terrifying story about the military progress China and Russia are making against the United States. At the time, I wondered why President Trump was starting a Space Force. This story not only makes it clear why he did it but also that it was the right thing to do. Where was our media when all of these aggressive moves in space were being made? Perhaps it way past time the USA stops worrying about pronouns and the other nonsense permeating our society and start realizing that our way of life is at stake.
