What exactly are you doing to assist those in our southeast U.S. in their time of need, instead of griping about OUR Vice President Harris? If you must know, I’m in Asheville, North Carolina, today volunteering assistance
This is a frequent harasser (this is his 3rd message to me this morning) and I block most of his comments as they are not constructive. However, I'm letting this one through because he has issued a challenge not just to me but to all of us. I wrote a HUGE check to the Salvation Army's Helene Relief Fund Saturday. I would like to request that all my readers to the same to the extent they are able: https://give.helpsalvationarmy.org/give/166081/#!/donation/checkout?c_src=USNDisaster&c_src2=disasterModule
BEFORE the disaster began, I worked day and night to get the message out that "catastrophic" flooding was likely in the region and advised proactive evacuation. You can easily verify that for yourself by paging down and reading my posts. This was in spite of the NWS forecasting, "Heavy rainfall will likely result in locally considerable flash and urban flooding across portions of Florida, with isolated flash and urban flooding possible across the Southeast, Southern Appalachians, and the Tennessee Valley Wednesday through Friday. Minor to isolated moderate river flooding will be possible." A great understatement of the threat.
As Biden was at the beach (again) over the weekend and Harris was in the West at a fundraiser, I will continue to criticize them until they respond appropriately to this disaster!

Note: this forecast has been updated. Go here for the latest. Update at 6:45pm. The National Hurricane Center now seems to agree with my forecast. The red area is where they are forecasting an 80% chance of a tropical depression, or stronger storm, to develop sometime during the next seven days. I believe the best chance is in the Tuesday to Thursday period for tropical storm development. Update at 6pm: The afternoon model runs, among the models I trust, continue to show a good chance (at least 50%) of a tropical storm forming in the western Gulf. I will update this forecast Sunday morning. Update at 1pm: The new run of the models I trust are in and my confidence has only grown that there is a threat of a tropical storm developing in the western Gulf of Mexico to the west of the orange line. The rest of this forecast (below) is still valid. People in the USA and northeast Mexico (west of the orange line) should keep an eye on the weather this week. While t...

Make sure you have a way to receive tornado warnings the rest of the night. 11:55p Tuesday: New tornado watch has just been issued for most south central (including Wichita), southeast and east central Kansas. This watch is in effect until 7am Wednesday. This is the overnight tornado threat we've been talking about.
