KC-Area Flash Flooding Risk

Heavy rains are occurring around Kansas City with more on the way and a flash flood warning is in effect. Here is the radar-estimated rainfalls which match the rain gauge reports quite nicely.
Flash flood warnings are in effect for eastern Johnson and western Jackson Counties.

The experimental thunderstorm forecast model predicts more heavy rain for the Kansas City area later today: Forecast for 6pm CDT.
If this forecast is correct and several additional inches of rain fall, it may become a serious flooding situation, so I suggest that people monitor the weather. Never cross a flooded area by foot or by car.
