Wichita Winter Wonderland

This morning, Wichita experienced freezing fog which left a coating of hoarfrost on trees and plants.  Enjoy!!  (click to enlarge photos)

As Ralphie said when he woke up to hoarfrost in the iconic scene in A Christmas Story,"Wow!"

A closeup of the structure of the ice crystals.  That is not frost coating needles on the plant. The frost structure is needle-shaped.
