Happy Snowy Day From Wichita

We are enjoying the snow in Wichita where I am expecting 2 to 5" inches.

1:15pm Post-Thanksgiving Travel Update

Radar at 1:08pm Note the ice in northwest and northeast central Oklahoma and the a small part of south central Kansas. National Weather Service Special Snow Forecast Forecast Radar for 5pm Saturday The snow in the Great Plains is the only significant weather in the nation. 6am Sunday Forecast Radar The forecast has not changed significantly since yesterday.  The airports at Wichita (2-6") and Kansas City (2-4") will be affected by this storm and there will be delays at both and, especially at Wichita, flight cancellations are possible. Sunday morning, O'Hare, Midway and (later in the day) Milwaukee and Grand Rapids will be affected. Delays are likely due to aircraft deicing.  Here is the forecast weather for 6pm Sunday.

Ice in Oklahoma

As forecast, there is an area of freezing rain and sleet in Oklahoma that may affect I-35 in the next few hours. Keep in mind that Oklahoma does not clear roads well. I would avoid the area until the icy conditions clear.

I expect to have an updated travel forecast posted early this afternoon.

Well, This Ought to Fix the Climate

Daily Mail The world's climate problems are fixed, I'm sure, now the Meghan is on the case.  Of course, I'm sure it never occurs to her, or her husband, that cutting their extreme use of private jets would do more to cut CO2 emissions than any number of meetings they might attend.
