4:30pm CDT Hurricane Isaias Update
4:30pm. Doppler radar now shows damaging winds moving inland along the coast from Navarre to Laguna Beach. Wind gusts above 80 mph are possible right along the coast. Wind speeds will increase the rest of the evening. I urge you to get indoors and hunker down. 4p. To me, it looks like the strongest winds will come ashore between Pensacola and Panama City during the next few hours. This is also where the greatest storm surge will be there will still be a serious storm surge even farther east. Video from Santa Rosa Beach just a few minutes ago shows the start of the storm surge and rising surf. Any preparations should be rushed to completion now. Dauphin Island, Alabama, has already had a peak gust of 89 mph. The National Hurricane Center per its 4pm advisory says the maximum winds are 115 mph and the lowest pressure is 959 millibars.
