11:25pm Saturday: Final Hurricane Thoughts For the Night

Updating the forecasts below.....

Marco will be the first to arrive on the U.S. coast. While it may be a hurricane when it arrives, I learn more toward a tropical storm.

I continue to be most concerned about Laura. It has the chance to be a major hurricane. Some of the evening models have flopped back to a more western landfall on the far northeast Texas coast. As I said last night, I believe this storm needs to be watched by everyone from Houston/Galveston to Mobile. If it were me, I'd -- tonight -- make a hotel reservation inland in case you need to evacuate. Then, check things out tomorrow. Be ready to put together a "go kit." See below for more preparation information.

Good night.
