Meteorologists constantly have to reference geographic locations. So, we have adopted the same 3-letter airport codes that you see on baggage tags. It is a lot easier to write "LGA" than "New York's LaGuardia Airport."
Since we are stuck at home, meteorologist James Spann has created a new set of 3-letter codes for living in today's society.
