Anniversary of the Worst U.S. Tornado

This tornado caused 695 deaths. It was part of an outbreak that day that caused at least 747 deaths.

In places, this tornado was more than two miles wide and had forward motion of 73 mph, 1.25 miles traveled in a minute! Because the tornado was so wide, many did not recognize what was approaching.

Imagine the catastrophe that would occur if this were to move through a major metropolitan area and surrounding areas.
