Walt Bodine, a Kansas City radio and television legend, passed away last night. He was 92.
Mr. Bodine was on the air the night of the Ruskin Heights tornado, the storm that got me interested in weather. About a dozen years later, he was kind enough to have this "weather kid" on his show. That was the first time I was ever on the radio.
