Showers Approaching at Sunset
Altocumulus castellanus clouds (over building) develop when upward vertical motion in the atmosphere is present. That motion, given sufficient moisture, causes rain. And, if the air is unstable, causes thunderstorms.
AccuWeather Regional Radar show both are present in the region as of 7pm CDT.
