Wichita and Houston Areas: Extensive Flooding

Both Wichita and Houston had extremely heavy rains in the last 36 hours. Interstate 35 is closed between Wichita and the Oklahoma border and will be for a while due to flood damage to the roadway.
Above is the storm total rainfall for the Wichita area. There are water rescues still in progress and numerous roads are closed to the south and southeast of the city.

In Houston, extraordinary rain has fallen in the last 36 hours.
To my knowledge, no interstate highways are closed but there was extensive flooding in some neighborhoods.

At this moment, flooding is being reported in some parts of Ft. Worth.

Unfortunately, more excessive rainfall is forecast the next seven days for much of Texas and points east.
