WSJ on the Lack of Global Warming

The climate-research establishment has finally admitted openly what skeptic scientists have been saying for nearly a decade: Global warming has stopped since shortly before this century began.

Entire article here. Of course, readers of this blog have known that since since its first week of existence in 2009, including the author's other point that climate 'scientists' were admitting among themselves (the Climategate emails) that global warming had stopped while saying the opposite in public.

It has been quite a week on the global warming front.
  • The Administration used religion to justify its global warming policies,
  • Newscientist, which denied global warming had stopped, now says "enjoy the pause while it lasts because it is probably the last one we'll get this century" [editorial: 'and, this time, we really, really mean it!']
  • I was called an "imbecile," and a "troll" (among other insults) by a climate 'scientist' for having the temerity to post graphs of decreasing tornado trends, decreasing hurricane trends, a peer-reviewed paper showing drought isn't increasing, etc. I published data, he published insults. I would link to it but I don't wish to give him the publicity.
With regard to the last item, I'm sensing genuine panic among members of the global warming cult. Their funding (jobs) and their perceived moral high ground are all at risk of vanishing.

  1. Mike - this article is behind the WSJ paywall - is there specific points in the article that you can summarize? Thanks!

  2. Sorry, the link worked when I posted the article. Try this: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/09/05/matt-ridley-in-the-wsj-whatever-happened-to-global-warming/

It confirmed that there has been no warming for at least 18 years and the contortions some of its cultists are going through.
