This Week's Rainfall

Things are getting a bit more interesting. Here is the forecast snowfall from the noon run of the U.S.'s GFS model:
The dark red area from around WaKeeney to Hill City, Kansas is 14". Wichita gets about 8" in this model's forecast.

And, in the Plains (where the drought is severe) this forecast is similar to the amounts forecast by this morning's European model run:
